Dear Author/Presenter

FAMS 2027 will provide a forum for the sharing of ideas surrounding the themes of 'allergen science, policy or trade' providing delegates with opportunities to update their knowledge and understanding of a broad range of topics, network with colleagues and learn from exhibitors.

Delegates will include food technologists and quality assurance managers, food service and kitchen supervisors, food safety, enforcement and regulatory professionals, clinicians and practitioners working with food allergies.

Clinicians, health care professionals, allergy researchers, government officials and members of the food industry are invited to submit abstracts for FAMS 2027.

The streams may include:

SCIENCE

• Advances in food allergy prevention and treatment, and implications for the food industry sector.
• Food allergy patient education - advances and challenges.
• Changes to dietary consumption (introduction of novel foods, consideration of emerging allergens and new processing technologies).
• Advances and challenges in the use of food allergen analysis to support decision making.

POLICY

• Experiences in building knowledge and learning how to apply reference doses both from an industry or government perspective.
• Regulatory and non-regulatory options and considerations for implementation of reference doses.
• The case for qualitative risk assessment - effective use or challenges.
• Considerations in building consumer confidence in PAL.
• Considerations in allergen management and communication.

TRADE

• Sharing allergen management experiences, challenges, and success stories - particularly in the global supply chain.
• Navigating regulatory differences for international markets.
• Digital solutions for information sharing.
